Biography: « Just Wôan was born the city with 7 hills:
Yaoundé, capital of Cameroon. His Sawa father is from Akwa and his Bafia mother
is from Biamo. The young Just Wôan had been attracted by music since he was a
child. The artistic feelings were transmitted to him thanks to his grandfather,
chief of a Bafia traditional dance group, to his father, fan of guitar, and to
his mother who believed in him from the start. After the school of choirs, Just
Wôan began to feel attracted to soul and South Sahara music.
His artist’s name come from his name Justin, he often
plays to spell it « juste-1 ». His
themes transport us within th large universe of love. His melodies are hymns of
comfort for those who don’t have it and of sharing for those whose heart is
full of it. For Just Wôan, love is this vital energy that any man must
transmit to be happy. In his lyrics, he describes pains and frustrations of
those who innocently suffer the consequences of strange decisions taken by this
world’s leaders. Last, he gives through his art a message of support to isolated
people and of comfort for the most vulnerable ones, without forgetting to evoke
dream and hope, these dreams that we all keep deep inside ourselves.»
